When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful

Eric Thomas, The Secret to Success

A warm welcome to the Macquarie University Chapter of the Golden Key Honour Society ("GKMQ").

The GKMQ Chapter provides a platform of potential for our members who wish to develop themselves in a multitude of areas. We encourage our members strive to unlock their potential and grow in both academic fields of study, as well as personal and professional development.

Once you join the Society, your outstanding academic achievements are both formally recognised and further advanced to help you to unlock your potential, both personally and professionally. As quoted above, it is important we have in the forefront of our minds why we do what we do - and we must strive for the utmost excellence to secure success.

By joining the Macquarie Chapter, you will become part of something more than simply an honour society. Not only will being a life-time member of Golden Key become part of a line on your resume; you have become part of special group of like-minded intellectuals – an exceptional group of peers, mentors and connections all working together towards a common goal.

Our Chapter hosts a range of events for our members, from Professional Development Workshops, to Career Panels where you can connect with successful professionals, to our new Ryde Secondary College homework mentoring club where you can volunteer to join us in supporting the local community. We are also excited to host occasional events in collaboration with our Sister Chapters as well as fellow Macquarie University Student Societies.

In addition, members can apply for scholarships, take advantage of jobs & internships, and study abroad. Beyond these opportunities, the Society is perfect for meeting and networking with like-minded students and alumni from a range of academic backgrounds.
